UBA session ID is a 30 digits unique transaction ID that's attached to every transaction receipts to track and trace every successful and unsuccessful transactions by any financial institutions (banks) in Nigeria.

A session ID is also the same as transaction ID but different from reference or referral ID. A reference ID is a unique identification code of the person (banker/marketer) that refer you to a financial institutions.

In other words, a referral ID is a unique identifier of your account manager. The person that open the bank account for your the marketer that refer you to a bank.

Like I said earlier, UBA session ID is a 30-digits codes. You can see these unique codes in every of your bank transaction receipts. However, it doesn't mean whether the transaction is successful of not successful.

This sample is also applicable to all session ID in all Nigerian banks. It's mandatory that any transactions from any financial institutions in Nigeria must possess a session ID or transaction ID.

However, it's important to let you know that almost everything that's done via the web have a session ID. Even webpage and entries have a session ID. Let's not go there. The primary focus of this article is UBA Session ID.

How does a Session ID works?

A session ID can be found in a transaction receipt. The 30 digits session ID works in the sense that when a transaction is stucked, the recipient bank can easily track and trace the stuck funds with a session ID.

The most interesting part of it is that, this session ID can be used by any banks in Nigeria. Now, take for instance, if you transfer money from your UBA Account to First Bank Account, and the transaction was successful but the recipient doesn't receive the funds within 24 hours, the recipient bank (First Bank) can easily use the transaction session ID to track and trace the transaction for further assistant.

How to get UBA Session ID

There are three different ways to get UBA Session ID. You can get the 30-digits session from your recipient's receipt, you can also get the session ID from the transaction receipt of transfer gotten from your sender. Lastly, you can get UBA session ID from your account statement.

Like the UBA Session ID sample uploaded above, it's an example of session ID gotten from a recipient's bank as a transfer receipt. I sent 7K to my Kuda Bank account, so, the transaction session ID is written in the receipt.

You can also get transaction's session ID on your inward transfer receipt. You can easily login your UBA mobile app or e-banking and navigate to "Transaction History" to get the transfer in question to get it session ID.

Lastly, you can download your United Bank for Africa (UBA) Account statement to get every of your transaction session ID easily.

UBA Transfer ID is a unique 9-digits numbers that's used to identify any financial transactions within the UBA banking system. For instance, if you transfer money any bank in Nigeria and the funds get stucked, you can easily walk into any United Bank for Africa (UBA) branch with the Transfer ID to get full report about the transfer.

The over-the-counter (OTC) customer care representative will use the transfer ID to trace the transaction within their banking system to know where, and why the money got stucked. In a nutshell, UBA Transfer ID is an internal unique identification 9 digits codes that can be used to track and trace any transactions within UBA banking system.

Is transaction ID the same as session ID?

Yes, in some banks, session ID is the same as transaction ID. Banks like UBA have same unique identifier as transaction ID and session ID. On the other hand, some banks may have their session ID as their transfer ID.

UBA session ID not working?

A session ID is generated whenever a transaction is initiated;. regardless whether the transaction is successful or unsuccessful. Hence, it's not possible for a bank session ID to not work. So far they transaction is initiated, a session ID will also be generated.

What is First Bank Session ID?

Like UBA session ID and any other commercial banks in Nigeria, First Bank Session ID is a unique identifier that can be used to trace any transactions in the banking system.

What is Session ID in OPay?

Session ID of a Transaction in OPay is a transfer ID that's attached a receipt in the OPay App.
